Who we are
Farglance (“we”, “us”) makes a glanceable display for the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: privacy@farglance.com.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Billing basics — your subscription status and a customer ID from our payment processor (Stripe). Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Your glasses code — a short code that lets your glasses confirm your plan.
- Referrals — if a friend’s link brought you here, we note the referring code so credits can be applied.
What we do NOT collect
- Your screen content. The images and text of your windows travel directly from your computer (the Farglance agent) to your glasses. On your home network that’s a direct connection; away from home it passes through an encrypted relay that forwards data without reading or storing it.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t build advertising profiles.
How we use what we collect
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To run billing and apply the right plan (Free or Gold) and any referral credit.
- To keep the service secure and working.
Who we share with
Only the service providers we need to operate: Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting, database, and the relay). Each handles data under its own terms. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices
- You can delete your account at any time, which removes your account record. Email privacy@farglance.com and we’ll action it.
- “Start over” in the glasses app clears the cards and settings stored on your glasses.
- You can cancel your subscription from your account page whenever you like.
Data retention & security
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account exists and as long as the law requires afterward. Passwords are hashed (PBKDF2). Connections are encrypted in transit.
Children
Farglance isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app or by email.
