Farglance is independent — not a big company, not a media conglomerate churning out "best of" lists. It's built and run by one person who genuinely uses Meta smart glasses every day and wanted them to be more useful.
It started with a simple frustration: these glasses can do a lot, but most people use a fraction of it, and the info out there is either thin marketing or generic listicles. So there are two sides to what we do here:
The app. Farglance turns any part of your computer screen into a live card on your lens — a timer, a chat, a dashboard — so you glance instead of reaching for your phone. Minimalism, maximized.
The guides. Honest, hands-on help for getting the most out of your glasses — which accessories actually fit, what apps are worth trying, how to fix the annoying stuff, and whether the thing is even worth buying.
That's the whole thing: build genuinely useful stuff, be honest about the rest, and help this weird, wonderful new category feel less confusing. If that's your kind of thing, the free weekly newsletter is the best way to follow along.
